London Marathon 2024: Elite Women Field Announced
Three-Time Champion Mary Keitany to Face Brigid Kosgei and Ruth Chepngetich
Race to be Broadcast Live in the UK on BBC One
The 2024 London Marathon is set to be one of the most highly anticipated in history, with a world record attempt on the cards. Mary Keitany, the three-time champion, will be looking to break her own record of 2:17:01, set in 2017. She will face stiff competition from Brigid Kosgei, the current world record holder, and Ruth Chepngetich, the 2019 world champion.
The race will be broadcast live in the UK on BBC One from 9:05am BST, with the wheelchair races starting at 9:25am and the elite women's race starting at 9:30am. Long distance running fans can also watch the race live on the BBC website and app.
The 2024 London Marathon is set to be a record-breaking event, with over 50,000 people taking part. The race will be held on Sunday, April 28th, and will start and finish on The Mall in London.
